I have a fun story: I visited my father’s hometown in Sicily, and was randomly told to give details about my family to see if I would find relatives. Without having any hopes, I shared the family tree Marcello did for me. Sure enough, I am related to the person who is in charge of the family tree at the municipio! Our experience with Marcello was absolutely amazing. He was able to find documents related to our family going back to the late 1700s. We were also incredibly appreciative that he was able to meet with us during a recent trip to Collesano. He was able to act as both a guide and translator. There are so many highlights of the trip that would not have been possible without him. We just returned from Sicily and it was a trip of a lifetime.  The purpose for the trip was seeing the hometowns of our great grandparents who immigrated to America at the turn of the 20th century. September 10th my husband and I came to from America to Sicily to meet Marcello after working with him for a few months prior to our trip. Marcello is a very professional genealogist who provided excellent insight into my father’s ancestors who lived in Caccamo and Termini Imerese Sicily. He sourced the original documents and translated them for me along with mapping my father’s family tree. We were planning a visit to Sicily and Marcello met us and showed us where my great grandfather lived in Caccamo. We toured the town and he provided some great insights.
